Samsung rolls out software update for the Galaxy S8 red tint problem

No doubt the Samsung Galaxy S8 does have a beautiful and stunning display but users recently found the sAMOLED infinity display from the device starts showing a noticeable red tint to it. Samsung quickly acknowledge the issue and stated that it’s natural for an AMOLED display to show them in some situation.

Just as quick as it turns out, Samsung was swift to issue one software update to address the problem. Currently rolling out from it home land in South Korea, users are starting to receive the automatic update with build numbers: G950NKSU1AQDG and G950NKSU1AQDG for the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8+ respectively.

The new update adds a new setting in the Adaptive display Screen Mode which allows users to adjust the full screen color balance to keep the flagship devices being affecting from the red tint issue. Additionally, Samsung also adds a “Screen Edge Color Balance” option from the Screen Mode menu to also just the screen color of the edge of the screen.

The update should be rolling out to other regions in a short moment so have you device set to receive automatic updates to receive them.
