The Samsung GALAXY A series just went out a few months ago with the entry-level GALAXY A3, the mid-end GALAXY A5 and the more recent and high-end among the three the GALAXY A7. When the GALAXY A series launched, Samsung supplied the handset with Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) on-board and as Samsung continually update its devices to the new Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Korean tech giant is also preparing an update for the said devices to the new Lollipop update according to our sources.

Despite the recent developments, there seem to be no word or whatsoever regarding the Lollipop update for the GALAXY Alpha which Samsung earlier confirmed to be working for an update earlier this year. More so, rumors regarding the GALAXY Note 2 Lollipop update looks like nowhere to be found despite Samsung Finland’s claim on its existence.

Lately, Google announced the availability of Android 5.1 which consists of minor updates and bug fixes from the Android 5 Lollipop series but Samsung is said to have not started any developments on the said build as they focus on delivering the Android 5.0.x update on its supported line of devices.

Furthermore, Google is also expected to announce the Android 5.2 update which should contain all the recent updates, bug fixes and performance improvements in the coming months as the search giant prepares for Google I/O 2015 event which will commence on May 10.
