Oppo is quite successful here in the Philippines with their aggressive “Selfie Expert” marketing strategy for their F series devices. While the F series reigns here in our local shores, there are other devices that Oppo is selling as well but their higher end devices seems to have not touch our country since their Selfie Expert devices are dominating the market.

Last month, Oppo announced their new R11 and R11 Plus devices which unlike the F1 and F3 series devices that focuses more on Selfies, the R series devices focuses on the main camera on the back, hence the “R” which one could associate with Rear Camera easily. Despite how marketable the R series is in our local shores, OPPO looks to pan its focus on the F series and they seem not to do much with their high-end devices in the Philippines.

Thankfully, Widget City – a well-known online store in the Philippines is now bringing the new Oppo R11 and R11s devices in the country and is now accepting pre-orders for these devices. Notice though that they are listing R11s on their website with specs that are relatively the same as the R11 Plus that Oppo announced, this could be a typo however.

The new Oppo R11 and R11s is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and 64GB of expandable storage. Dual SIM slots and supports 3G and 4G connectivity with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and of course a fingerprint sensor mounted on the front. Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) runs on these handsets with Oppo’s proprietary ColorOS UI on top.

The biggest selling point from the new R11 and R11s devices is their dual camera module on the back which includes a 20 Megapixel sensor with 2x optical zoom lens and a 16 Megapixel sensor with wide-angle lens and AutoFocus and is supported by LED flash. On the front is also a highly capable Selfie camera with 20 Megapixel sensor.

While what we have above are features that came as standard for both devices, they also share some differences that kept them somewhat apart. The R11 includes a 5.5-inch Full-HD display, 4GB of RAM and a 3000 mAh embedded battery. The R11s on the other hand gets a fairly larger 6-inch display also in Full-HD and houses 6GB of system RAM and an even larger battery at 4000 mAh.

Widget City lists the R11 for 23,400 Php while the larger R11s is priced at 27,300 Php.
