After so much anticipation, a followup to the highly acclaimed OnePlus 3 is now official with updated specs on the same chassis. The new OnePlus 3T is the company’s new flagship bearer that comes with the latest hardware and the usual top-notch performance features. Since the new 3T ships with the same design as with the OnePlus 3, this time around the new handset adds a new gun-metal color option for users to choose from.

As rumored for several occasions, the OnePlus 3T now sports the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and retains the 6GB RAM that made its predecessor a beast from all of existing flagship devices in the market. Along with the new chipset, OnePlus also added a new storage option of the 3T with 128 GB allowing users to choose either to go with 64GB or the hefty 128GB model, just remember though that OnePlus devices does not offer expandable storage across its existing range so it’s a better alternative now to choose the much higher capacity storage options especially with ever-increasing demands for memory today.

With the new 3T, OnePlus trusts the same 16 Megapixel imaging sensor but instead of the usual glass cover that graced with OnePlus 3, the 3T now has a sapphire glass on it making it more resistant to scratches, everything else the main camera has reflects the same with OnePlus 3T’s predecessor.

What’s change in the imaging department though is the front facing camera which now has a 16 Megapixel sensor, double what was offered when OnePlus 3 went out earlier this year. It has the same aperture of f/2.0 but with a smaller pixel size of just 1.0 nm. It also comes with a Phase Detection Autofocus and is able to capture videos in 1080p. A seemingly valuable upgrade for the more Selfie-centric users who are now gaining in numbers. It also follows the trend of Chinese manufacturers that now focuses on front-facing cameras that sells well in the Asian markets.

Running on the high-spec’d hardware is OxygenOS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with an almost stock Android experience if not for a few OnePlus related apps, enhancements and features. Finally, something that would become noticeable for OnePlus users is that the new 3T now got a 400 mAh boost from 3’s already large 3000 mAh battery. It still supports Dash Charge for swift charging.

The new OnePlus 3T will be available beginning November 22 in North America and starting November 28 elsewhere. The handset’s price starts at $439 for the 64GB variant and then the heftier 128GB variant will be go for $479. Customers can either choose gun-metal and Rose Gold color options for their handset.
