Current Nokia’s top dog the Nokia 6 however has been quite well in the market both in terms of build, quality and user experience. A proper flagship device though is what Nokia users are looking for and the wait will soon end as the company behind the brand HMD Global Oy has finally sent out invites for a special event which will eventually unveil the company’s first true flagship device.

The event is presumably set to unveil the long-rumored Nokia 8 device which has been in the rumor mill for months. Just as Nokia and Zeiss announced their partnership once again, the upcoming Nokia 8 is also expected as the first device to carry the Zeiss branding as well as to to feature a dual camera sensors on the back.

From the latest image leaks, the Nokia 8 seems to continue the Nokia 6-esque design. Expect a 5.3-inch screen do grace on the Nokia 8 with QHD resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB or 6GB of RAM, Storage is expected at 64GB with expansion support.

The upcoming Nokia 8 is expected to be available in a variety of color options with a addition to a copper/gold, blue and silver models. HMD Global’s event in London should start around 2:30PM ET on August 16th.
