Nokia devices are one of the most beloved today just because it’s a Nokia but how HMD Global constantly updates all of its lineup to keep it up to date. Two Nokia devices the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 3 just received their February security patches and these updates brought critical security fix which affected its media framework that could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code within the context of a privileged process from a specially crafted file that could potentially affect the device.
The update for the Nokia 8 weighs around 87MB while for the Nokia 3 at around 80MB. These updates are rolling out in batches and by region where for the Nokia 8 is available in Jordan and India with Nokia 8 devices with Stable Oreo build in them while the Nokia 3 is only spotted initially in India at the moment.
Updates for these two devices will eventually reach more regions in the following days and to check if the update has already reached your location but you device haven’t notified you yet, you can always check for updates manually through the “Settings” app.
