A couple of days ago, we said that Xiaomi might just be on its first entry into the premium market with both a premium design along with a premium price, we also mentioned that the Chinese tech firm may be releasing two variants of the alleged Mi Note 2 in which we thought that there would be a cheaper and a more premium variant between the two. Now, it seems that Xiaomi will favor the latter and may price both devices considerably higher than any of the usual Xiaomi line-up.
Being premium will obviously means pricier, it’s a trend that is hard to argue considering the tech behind of the upcoming Mi Note 2. One will have to consider a premium treatment today when a device like the Mi Note 2 having a curved display similar to the Samsung’s flagship as well as the latest hardware components inside.
We’ve already heard that the even more premium variant of the handset will be priced as high as CNY 5,699 and comes with 6GB of RAM, a 4GB version is also expected along the way but with a lesser price tag ofCNY 4,999 but still considered pricey by most claims.
So what do we get with all these? The image above maybe a convincing factor but if that’s not enough take a look at image as well below:
The Mi Note 2 shows a familiar look, somewhere like the edge series of Samsung devices with a curved screen and a glass laminated back that’s curved as well on a metal frame. The home button on the front may be a similar to the latest iPhone 7 that’s capacitive type instead of a physical clicky button.
Also, there might be a dual imaging sensor for the main camera so it’s really up to the premium line and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC, tagged to either 4GB or 6GB RAM, there would also be a 64GB, 128GB or even 256 GB of storage is expected. Depending on the variant, a 4GB version will house a 1080p display while the more premium version will sport a WQHD display.
The upcoming Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to be unveiled on October 25 and will launch first in China by November 1st.
