As you can see from the video above, the new Surface Book is just a regular laptop until you unhook the display from the keyboard. The Surface Book shares almost every aspect of the Surface Pro 4 but its top of the line variant with Intel Core i7 processor comes with a more powerful dedicated GPU from NVIDIA.
The hinge of the Surface book has a proprietary design that perfectly fits the Surface tablet unto the special keyboard with Microsoft’s trademark Muscle Wire mechanism which hold the tablet securely in place while detaching is made easily with just a push of a button.
The Surface Book also comes with all the features found on the Surface Pro 4. There’s the PixelSense display and support for the new Surface Pen input with 1024 levels of pressure sensitivity for a natural handwriting experience. For a full desktop experience, the Surface Book supports the latest Microsoft Surface Dock which attached the system into a larger display, with a full-size USB keyboard and mouse.
