The radically designed Meizu Pro 7 with Fenêtre display on the back is finally launched in the Philippines, the event was hosted by Meizu Philippines last September 8. The official announcement brought both the Pro 7 and the Pro 7 Plus on our shores and will be shipped to customers this October.
For an overview of these devices, both devices sports a closely similar specs with the signature 2-inch secondary display on the back together with its very own dual camera sensors. For the Pro 7, it’s the smaller device of the two with only a 5.2-inch full-HD super AMOLED display. The device is powered by a MediaTek Helio P25 SoC with 8-core processors together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space.
The Pro 7 Plus on the other hand, comes with a larger super AMOLED display at 5.7-inch with QHD display resolutions. It is powered by a more powerful 10-core MediaTek Helio X30 chipset, there’s 6GB of RAM in the system and users has the option to go either with 64GB or the even larger 128GB of internal storage. One needs to note though that these devices doesn’t have a microSD card slot in them so you’ll be stuck with what these devices has in for you.
As designed to take the best pictures out there, the Pro 7 series includes a dual 12 Megapixel cameras at the back with both having an f/2.0 Aperture, a Phase Detection AF and supported by a dual-tone LED flash. As for the front, these handset sports a 16 Megapixel Selfie camera, also with an f/2.0 Aperture with image filter selection features.
It includes all standard connections from Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, GPS and a USB-C port except for an FM Radio. It features a dual-SIM module with LTE, 3G and GSM support on both SIM’s. Then, you have a fingerprint sensor, a 3000 mAh battery for the Pro 7 and a slightly larger 3500 mAh battery for the Pro 7 Plus. Android 7.0 Nougat drives these devices out of the box but here’s hoping that Meizu would upgrade them to Oreo sometime in the future considering that these two devices are considered high-end if not flagships.
For the prices, the Meizu Pro 7 is set at 22,990Php while the Pro 7 Plus will starts at 31,990Php. These devices are already available for pre-order at Meizu’s Concept store through Lazada. You can also place you pre-order through Meizu physical stores in these areas: SM North Edsa, SM Megamall, and SM Mall of Asia. When you pre-order your device from September 9 to 25, you’ll get a Meizu M8 Power bank for free. As we have said, the Meizu Pro 7 will begin shipping this October while the Pro 7 Plus will be announced shortly but we believe that it should come soon after the Pro 7 becomes available in the market.
