With the announcement of Google Pixel phones, it’s understandably a gateway for the search giant to tap into new ventures. Today, we’re in a world where virtual reality is inching closer to our living rooms giving us new perspective and new experiences in entertainment. The Pixel phones are equipped with features that could easily take us into the idea of experiencing the virtual world. Inside the two Pixel phones is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor that natively supports VR and Google is tapping into this feature which gave them the way to jump into the VR bandwagon.

The new Daydream VR headset is Google’s own offering to an immersive virtual reality experience. Unlike any other VR headsets in the market, Google is closely working with garment manufacturer to provide devices that fits naturally. Inspired by the clothes we wear, the Daydream VR headset is built with a lightweight, soft and cozy fabric that sits comfortably as we wear them.

similar to other VR headsets, the Daydream VR comes with a latch to attach the Pixel phone or any Daydream compatible handset with a simple locked-in mechanism to hold the phone in place.

Along with the headset, Google also provides a wireless controller so that users can flawlessly navigate through and work around the virtual environment more naturally, fly through space, make it as your wand and be in control in the world where you at. The controller has a minimalistic design with a few simple buttons and a touchpad which can also be customized depending on the virtual environment.

Things gets lost when they are tiny and small, the wireless control isn’t that tiny and likewise not too small but some people tends to forget where the last time they put their things and for that matter, the controller might just to misplace itself so Google designed the Daydream VR headset to keep the package in place when not in use. inside the latch where a Daydream compatible phone used to sit, there’s a notch there where the controller can slide in when not using the headset, this way, everytime the user is ready to use the VR headset again, they’ll know that the controller is inside the headset and should be ready to use in no time.

The Daydream VR headset will becomes available soon and if you’re getting one, choose from these color options that perfectly fits your style.
