With slow internet connection or perhaps a fairly entry-level smartphone at hand, Filipino’s do wanted a reliable messaging platform for this restrictions and thankfully after almost 8 months since its launched, Facebook is now making its Messenger lite app on Android available in the country.

The app is lightweight will little less than 10MB in size and uses less RAM so it should work virtually on any smartphone available in the market. It also uses less data and can even work in tight situations such as in 2G network and supports all local carriers.

The app can now be downloaded from Google Play, Just a reminded thought, given it’s a lite version of the full-blown Messenger app, expect less features from this one though but the basic functionalities are still there, text-based messaging is one top priority but you could also send photos and use emojis.
