Asus officially announced the new ZenPad 3S 10 with 4GB RAM

Asus is doing quite well in its ventures into the mobile market. Behind the success of the Zenfone line, Asus also expands its Zen family of devices on Notebooks and tablets. For now, we’re going to focus on a very specific device with the new ZenPad 3S 10. The new Android tablet is what Asus promised earlier to come out sometime this month and indeed the company just made the device official at least in Taiwan and will be available in their local stores beginning on August 1 for TWD 11,000 around $342 and roughly 17,000 Pesos.

Unlike other Asus tablets in the past, this one seems to be a kind of high-end device which might put you to wonder how this is going to pair with the competition. Well, for one the ZenPad 3S 10 is going to have a head-to-head battle with none other than the Apple iPad, so the company needed to address key features than will entice users to go with the alternative instead of Cupertino’s offering.

The new Asus ZenPad 3S 10 is a 9.7-inch tablet which adopted a 4:3 aspect ratio and comes with 2,048 x 1,536 display resolution similar as that of a iPad or Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S2 on the same display size. The tablet measures240.5 x 163.7 x 5.8-7.16 mm and weighs 430 grams which isn’t bad at all.

The new tablet is powered by a MediaTekMT8176Chipset with a 6-core processors, two of which is a Cortex-A72 running at 2GHz and four cores of it is a Cortex-A53 running at 1.6GHz. Taking care of the graphics is a PowerVR GX6250 at 600MHz. What’s really neat with the ZenPad 3S 10 is that it comes with 4GB of RAM and has 32 GB of on-board storage and supports microSD cards for memory expansion.

Now becoming a standard issue on newer tablet devices, the ZenPad 3S 10 equipped with an 8 Megapixel main camera however it doesn’t come with a flash so it’s basically just for basic and well-lit surroundings but you’ll get a 5 Megapixel front camera for Selfies and high-resolution video calls.

Connectivity features comes as standard including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and the every growing popular USB Type-C port is also included in the package.

Asus generously packed the new tablet with a large 5,900 mAh embedded battery which should be able to handle pretty much easily all your power needs which is further managed by the advanced power management features of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to keep you up and going. Like all other Asus mobile devices, the new ZenPad 3S 10 comes with a proprietary ZenUI on top of Android for a unique and exclusive Asus Zen experience.
