Android 5.0 Lollipop now available for supported Google Nexus devices

Google finally made the Android 5.0 Lollipop available to all supported Nexus devices. Users of the said devices may let their devices check for updates which they could download Over-The-Air or via a factory image available through downloads. The Nexus devices that have the update ready includes;  Nexus 5, both Nexus 7 2012 and 2013 versions and Nexus 10. Nexus 4 will also receive the update but currently available through OTA only, but should have a factory image available later.

Other than Google, companies such as Motorola who rolled out the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade for both the 2014 edition of their Moto G and Moto X Pure Edition devices. LG also announced the availability of its LG G3 Lollipop upgrade earlier with LG’s own customization on top.

The new Android 5.0 Lollipop brings new life to new and supported devices with the new Notification center, better power management, new ART runtime, Material design with a new User Interface and an overall improved system performance.

For supported devices, users may check for updates by going through Settings > About Phone > System Updates then tap Check Now button to check for any available update if your device haven’t check for any updates at the moment.
