Owning one of Xiaomi devices means that things about the manufacturer would be something to watch out for me especially that I am currently running their weekly updates of MIUI 8. Just last week, Xiaomi released a developer preview of Android 7.0 Nougat for the Mi 5, though it’s a bumpy and risky ride for early adopters, Xiaomi continues to address the problems with its newest Nougat upgrade and further bug fixes are coming.

With Android 7.0 Nougat now in the hands of Xiaomi MIUI developers, the Chinese tech firm now confirms that after Mi 5, other Xiaomi devices in its Mi line will soon get updated to Nougat as well.

So, their closed beta testers are now sporting the latest MIUI with Android 7.0 Nougat at its base, and Xiaomi advices early adopters to keep an eye on its development through the MIUI Forum app, a portal for users, developers and enthusiasts with weekly updates and the latest available ROM downloads for Xiaomi devices.

For the lists of Mi devices that will eventually get upgraded to Android 7.0 includes: Mi 4c, Mi 4s, Mi Note, Mi Max. Xiaomi might have already mobilized this upgrade on closed beta testers, customers may have to wait until the first quarter of 2017 for a stable build to become available. Apart from those devices mentioned above, we’ve also anticipated an upgrade for the Mi 5s, Mi Note 2 and Mi Mix to become available pretty soon.
